The specificity of this power plant Organica is that it takes part in a project that the company keter Organica develops with a german company DSM Biogas. At the moment there are being performed several tests on the substrates and in short the implementation of enzymes for improving the efficiency of biogas potential from raw materials will start. It is very interresting that the company DSM has shown interest to cooperate with the biogas power plants of the company Keter Organica despite the wide range of providers.

The excess heat from the biogas power plant is efficiently used for heating the greenhouses of the company Ocean Orchids, which is close by. In 2011, an upgrade of the biogas power plant, Biogas Power Plant Organica Gjerkeš 2, with nominal power 1,2 MW was made. A second upgrade, Biogas Power Plant Organica Gjerkeš 3, is beeing built. The nominal power will be also be 1,2 MW.

This biogas power plant is the seventh biogas power plant Organica built by our company. it is the largest biogas power plant Organica so far and is also owned by the company Keter Organica. The biogas power plant will have as well two drying rooms for drying the final substrate into pellets. The excess heat will be efficiently used this way. Close by the company will build greenhouses, which will also be warmed by the excess heat of the biogas power plant. Based on hydroponic technology, in the greenhouses will be grown tomatoes and vegetables. The biogas power plant Organica Nova has also its own laboratory, where we are doing several tests on biomass to improve the biogas potential.
